What size mattress do I have?
Typical mattress sizes:
- Twin (Single): 39”W x 75”L
- Full (Double): 54”W x 75”L
- Queen: 60”W x 80”L
- King (Eastern King): 76”W x 80”L
- California King (Western King): 72”W x 84”L
Do the beds include a bed frame to put my mattress on?
All of the Wesley Allen iron beds include frames except for the following configurations:
• Headboard Only (HO)
• Headboard Only with Return Posts (HRP)
• Daybed Without Slatted Frame
Except for Headboard Only (HO) and Headboard Only with Return Posts (HRP) beds, yes, all of the Wesley Allen beds include a bed frame. For HO and HRP beds, you will be given the option to add a frame to your order when you go to your shopping cart, for an additional cost. The frame is the Wesley Allen Millennium™ frame system. Considered the strongest bed frames in the industry, they are engineered using high gauge steel. Carefully designed to ensure durability and strength, each frame supplies different points of stress support for maximum stability and mattress support (see image of frame below):
The frames do not have the same finish as the headboard and footboard. If you would like them to match, please call us.
What is a Complete Bed Sleeper (CBS)?
A Complete Bed Sleeper (CBS) configuration is available on some of the beds. This is the bed you would want to choose if you plan on using a trundle unit with the bed. The CBS beds sit higher off of the ground (15" of clearance) to fit the trundle unit underneath when not in use. If you choose the CBS and would also like to add a trundle, you will have the option to add the Wesley Allen High Riser Pop-up Trundle in the shopping cart. You must first add the CBS bed to the cart in order to see that option.
Do you sell trundle units for any of your beds?
Yes, every Wesley Allen twin CBS (Complete Bed Sleeper) style (some full size) and all daybeds, have an available "High Riser" pop-up trundle unit. The Wesley Allen sleeper beds have a slatted frame and are drilled with 2 sets of holes for flexibility of use. The lower set accommodates a standard height mattress and a box spring. The frame at this setting sits 8.5" from the ground with an 8.375" in clearance. The higher setting is for use with a mattress and no box spring and sits 16" high with a 15" clearance which provides room for most trundle units. The trundle unit itself is made to accommodate a twin-size (39" by 75") mattress and is not designed to align exactly with the main bed area when popped-up.
For twin/full size beds, if a trundle unit is pictured next to the product picture, it will be included automatically (using the Buy As Pictured feature) otherwise, you will need to "Customize" the bed to be a CBS and then add the trundle unit using the link provided in the shopping cart. Contact us if you need more info on trundle beds.
- Will my bed finish look exactly like the pictures?
Are the beds easy to assemble?
Yes, the beds can be put together with one person (two makes it go a little faster) and common household tools. Wesley Allen will send you the beds in two or three boxes, with plenty of packing to protect the bed. You will need a knife or razor to cut open the boxes and remove the packing materials. The beds will all come with detailed instructions and all hardware necessary. View step-by-step picture tutorial on assembling a bed.
Here are some other handy tips on bed assembly:
- Your Complete Bed will arrive with a headboard, footboard, two side rails, three supporting cross rails (larger size beds only), and the hardware (nuts and bolts, etc).
- Remove all of the parts of the bed and spread them out into an open space with plenty of room. Referring to the instructions, put the pieces in the approximate position of where they will be when the bed is complete.
- Attach the side rails to the headboard to help hold it up and give you freedom to attach the cross rails (provided on the larger beds). The cross rails bolt on the underside of the side rails. You will want to tighten the bolts, but leave some "play" in them to allow for movement.
- Now you can screw the footboard to the ends of the side rails. You can tighten all of the bolts now to solidify the bed. However, try not to over tighten.
- Place the box spring into the frame -- it will fit nice and snug. When you place the mattress on top, there should be a few inches of clearance at the head and foot of the bed (between the frame and mattress) to allow for your linens. That's it!
Can you send me a finish sample?

- Does Region Iron Beds (FineIronBeds.com) sell mattresses?
Since the beds are custom made, can I get my bed in larger or smaller dimensions?
No, you cannot custom-design the dimensions of your bed. The beds are only available in the measurements shown. The finish and style of each bed is customizable, however.
Instructions say I should have a "HOF Assembly." Am I missing it?
No, those parts are not required unless you have a Headboard w/Open Footboard style bed. These beds share instructions with the Complete Beds, so there is often confusion about parts missing.
What type of finish is used on the Wesley Allen Beds?

Powder paint is specifically prepared for your order and electrostatically applied by expert colorists to meet or exceed our highest standards. The bed is then baked in specialty ovens where extremely high temperatures produce a PowerBond finish of superior durability and richness.

How should I keep my iron furniture clean?
A mild detergent, like a dishsoap, and a soft cloth with warm water are all it takes to keep your iron furniture looking like new.

No, we do not charge sales tax on any order! That means you can save even more money on the same product compared to buying at a local store.
When is my credit card charged?
In order to prevent fraudulent charges we maintain a “pre-pay” policy. Your card will be charged immediately after you confirm your order. That way we can send your order to Wesley Allen to start being built right away!
How will the charge show up on my credit card?
Your credit card statement will show the transaction under the name "Just Fine, Inc." which is the business name of Region Iron Beds (FineIronBeds.com).
What type of shipping do you offer?
On most of our beds and larger items, Region Iron Beds (FineIronBeds.com) works with a select group of truck-freight providers who ship directly from the manufacurer to you. Most items are too heavy/large to ship via the traditional delivery services (e.g. UPS, FedEx) so they will be sent to you via "truck-freight." truck-freight is different than standard UPS, FedEx or US Mail in that it is sent via 18-wheeler or "semi-truck." Thus, if you live on a street that cannot be reached by a semi-truck, we do not recommend placing a furniture order though us. However, in these cases you may often arrange to pick up the shipment from the shipping office in your local area.
Also, because these truck-freight shipments are curb-side delivery, you will be responsible for moving the boxes into your residence. Since some of the products are heavy, please keep in mind that you may need a couple of people to help move them into your residence/room. It is important that you inspect the package(s) at the time of delivery and reject the shipment if it is damaged (see below about damage).
Standard Ground Items:
Some shipments (such as bedding, some accessories and smaller furniture) are small enough to ship via UPS Ground or DHL Ground. We will provide you with the appropriate tracking number(s) for these items via email.
Is shipping really FREE?
Yes! Shipping is always FREE within the continental USA! We charge $125 flat rate to cover importing fees/taxes when shipping to Canada.
When will my order arrive?
Because these products are custom made after you order, they will generally arrive within 3-6 weeks of ordering, unless otherwise noted. However, occasionally orders will arrive in as little as 10-14 days depending on the manufacturer's production queue. Please note that someone will need to be available to receive shipment, and shipping an order to a location you do not occupy (i.e. a house you are purchasing but do not yet occupy) is not recommended. Also, deliveries are scheduled during the week - delivery is generally not available on weekend days.
Bedding orders usually arrive in 1-3 weeks via Ground carriers and ship separately from beds.
Will I be notified before my shipment arrives?
If your item ships truck-freight, just prior to delivery the freight shipping company will contact you via phone to set up a specific delivery time. We do not recommend changing your phone number or moving within the next 30 days or the shipping company will not be able to contact you. Our freight shipments are generally to the entrance of your home or apartment building ("curb-side delivery"). Please note that the product will be delivered to your door but not brought into your residence or assembled. You may need an extra person to help bring the boxes into your residence/room.
For smaller items that ship via Ground carriers like bedding and some small accessories, your item will ship via UPS or DHL, and you will not be called prior to delivery. However, we will email you the tracking information for these shipments.
What happens if I miss my delivery?
For our truck-freight deliveries - the shipping company will only attempt one delivery and it’s generally difficult to reschedule another delivery attempt. If you miss a scheduled delivery attempt you may incur additional costs by scheduling an additional delivery attempt. Please note that someone will need to be available to receive shipment, and shipping an order to a location you do not occupy (i.e. a house you have purchased but do not yet occupy) is not recommended.
For Ground shipments, UPS or DHL will leave you a note to reschedule the delivery.
What if I live outside the continental USA, can you ship to me?
We currently only ship within the continental USA with our FREE Shipping offer. A $125 shipping fee will be charged for all orders shipped to Canada, which covers all fees and taxes. We do not offer shipping to any other countries at this time.
How well are the products packed & protected during shipping?
Wesley Allen beds are packed with great care by an experienced staff using standard approved methods and are received by the freight carrier in excellent condition. Here are some photos of a typical bed's packing, upon arrival:
What happens if my item is damaged upon arrival?
Upon delivery, if any of the boxes have any damage, or if there is any reason for you to be at all concerned about damage, please write "PRODUCT DAMAGED" clearly on the sheet that the delivery person asks you to sign. You MUST carefully inspect the product upon receipt and note any damage. If you receive a damaged item contact us immediately with your 4-digit order number and REJECT THE SHIPMENT from the carrier.
How can I find out the shipping status of my order?
For truck-freight shipments, you will need to check with the shipment company to obtain updated information while in transit. We provide you with the tracking number (or PRO#) via email when your order ships, along with their web address for tracking. All of our truck-freight companies will contact via phone to schedule a specific delivery time once your order arrives in your area.
Policies and Company Questions
What is your return policy for furniture?
Since all furniture is custom-made by the manufacturer, we can ONLY accept furniture returns if the product is deemed to have a manufacturer's defect. Please note that due to the individual craftsmanship in applying the finish to each product, some slight color variances are inherent and are not considered as a manufacturer's defect. In the unlikely event of a manufacturer's defect, please contact us with your 4-digit order number for further instructions.
In order to protect the merchandise on the return, the item being returned must be wrapped in the original or similar packaging. The product must be properly packed with all vital points triple wrapped to minimize damage while in transit. If the item is received damaged due to improper packaging by you, we will not be responsible for the damages incurred in transit.
If your bed arrives damaged, reject the shipment and contact us, and we will handle getting you a replacement.
What if my furniture's finish looks different than I expected?
Due to the unique nature of the finishes and the individual craftsmanship in hand-applying the finish to each product, some slight variances are inherent and are NOT considered as a manufacturer's defect and are not returnable. Also, keep in mind that your computer's monitor settings may effect the way finish colors appear on screen.
What is the Region Iron Beds (FineIronBeds.com) cancellation policy?
We place your order very soon after you complete the order process. Due to the speed at which customers are charged and orders are processed, after 24 hours of placing your order, the order cannot be cancelled.
